Personal, local service in Jena

JenWatch is based in Jena and run by Melanie Haak. It grew from a simple idea: people who live in Jena or own a flat here should be able to leave home without worrying about their pets, their plants, their mailbox or their apartment.

Instead of booking through a platform that constantly changes sitters, our customers always deal directly with Melanie and a small, trusted team. That way you know who has the key, who is in your apartment, and who will greet your cat.

How we work

• Personal pre-visit. Before every new booking we meet you at your home, get to know your pet and write down all the routines.
• Documented visits. You receive a short message after each visit, and photos on request.
• Careful key handling. Keys are stored separately from personal data and are labelled with an internal code only.
• Transparent fixed prices. You know what a visit or a package costs before you book.
• Insured service. JenWatch has business liability insurance with Barmenia Gothaer.

What we don't do

• We are not a nursing service and do not provide medical care.
• We are not a security company – no 24/7 guard service or surveillance.
• We do not accept bookings for pet types outside our current experience.
